Recently, the unveiling ceremony and the first project exchange meeting of the Changjing Technology – University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Power Semiconductor Joint Laboratory were held at the University’s campus.
Before the unveiling ceremony, Wang Yafei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, specially met with Chairman Yang Guojiang and his delegation. Professor Zhang Bo, Vice President Xu Hongbing, and the Director of the Integrated Circuit Research Center at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, as well as Vice General Managers of the company, Fan Rongding and Xia Haotian attended the meeting.
The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhang Wanli, Dean of the School of Demonstration Microelectronics at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Chairman Yang Guojiang and Vice President Xu Hongbing jointly unveiled the plaque for the laboratory.
Vice President Xu Hongbing, on behalf of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, warmly welcomed Chairman Yang Guojiang and his delegation, and congratulated them on the establishment of the Joint Laboratory. He said that while addressing the forefront of world technology and major national needs, the school actively serves the main battlefield of the national economy and improves its ability to serve industry development and local economic construction, which is an important task of the Double First Class initiative. The University of Electronic Science and Technology of China has a profound background and high international academic status in the field of power semiconductors. The school will strongly support the development of the joint laboratory, support the team led by Professor Zhang Bo to carry out in-depth cooperation with Changjing Technology, and promote the integrated development of semiconductor industry, academia, and research.
Chairman Yang Guojiang expressed gratitude on behalf of Changjing Technology for the university’s support. He stated that Changjing Technology focuses on the research, design, and sales of power devices, discrete devices, frequency devices, power management chips, automotive electronics, and other products. At present, China's power device industry is facing historic opportunities and challenges. As a top university and leading device manufacturer in China, the strong alliance will inject new vitality into China's national semiconductor industry.
After the unveiling ceremony, the first project exchange meeting was held. Professor Zhang Bo introduced the progress of cooperation between the two sides, and representatives from both sides had further in-depth exchanges and on projects such as silicon-based power devices, wide bandgap power devices, and power management chips.
